Yosemite and Half Dome

I was up in Yosemite yesterday scouting locations for the Yosemite Stanford CSP field trip I am leading and of course had to take the iconic, and well photographed image of Half Dome. It's not new, original, insightful, visionary, creative, etc......but it sure was fun to do! I think you can get a tad jaded about these images if you are trying to compete with other photographers, especially the ones who have created exceptional masterpieces of these subjects. I've realized recently that at least for me, it's more about the process of interacting with the landscape and using my camera to appreciate nature. So, I'll continue on with the obvious photos, and hopefully discover something new in the process.
