Black and White Sand Dune

I've been reading the new book Looking at Ansel Adams: The Photographs and the Man which takes a look at the stories behind some of his most famous images. What has been really interesting to me is the fact that he really presented his work as Art, and not an exact representation of the scene he was photographing. It was always about his vision of the scene and how he interpreted it. He mentions in the book that he feared people would feel let down going to Yosemite as it did not look like it did in his prints. In the spirt of this, here is one from Death Valley a few years back, converted to BW, with my vision of the scene.
